Saltbox Church Network

No church should walk alone.

Saltbox Church Network is a growing relational network for independent churches in Newfoundland and Labrador. We are giving long-standing friendships a clearer home for prayer, worship, shared wisdom, and practical support.

Built for churches that value local identity, shared history, and real relationship.

Independent should not mean isolated.

Independent churches across Newfoundland and Labrador have shared friendship, worship, counsel, and encouragement for years. Many of those relationships are already strong, but they have often remained informal, scattered, and dependent on whoever happens to reach out.

Saltbox exists to give those relationships a clearer home. Not to turn churches into a denomination. Not to centralize control. Simply to make it easier to pray for one another, gather together, share what we have learned, and help each church know it is not carrying the work alone.

Read the Vision
  • Distance makes connection harder than it should be.
  • Leaders and volunteers can feel alone between gatherings.
  • Churches often solve the same problems separately.
  • Good news, prayer needs, songs, events, and resources can get lost in scattered messages.
  • There is already trust and history worth strengthening.

A clearer home for relationships that already matter.

Saltbox is beginning with simple, practical pieces: ways for churches to see one another, communicate between gatherings, share worship material, and coordinate the things we are already trying to do together.
Shared friendship and prayer
A network where leaders and churches can stay aware of one another, pray with one another, and carry more of the work in relationship.
Events and gatherings
A shared place for worship nights, retreats, training, regional gatherings, and other events that help churches connect in person.
Conversation between churches
A member space for questions, follow-up, encouragement, planning, and the kind of informal conversation that keeps relationship alive.
Local worship and shared songs
A place to share songs, chord charts, and worship resources that grow out of our own churches and our own Newfoundland and Labrador context.

For independent churches with shared heart and history.

Saltbox is beginning with independent and non-denominational churches in Newfoundland and Labrador that already share spiritual friendship, worship history, and a desire to strengthen one another.

This is not a broad public association for every church tradition. It is not a new denomination. It is not a structure meant to take over local church decisions. Each church keeps its own identity, leadership, and local calling.

The invitation is simple: if your church already carries a shared heart with this family of churches, Saltbox gives us a practical way to walk together more intentionally.

Start a Conversation

An online home between gatherings.

The platform exists to serve the relationships, not replace them. It gives the network a practical place for church profiles, events, conversation, and shared worship material so the life of the network does not disappear between calls, texts, and occasional meetings.

  • Church profiles and a public directory.
  • Events and gatherings.
  • Forum/chat for network conversation.
  • Shared worship songs and chord charts.
  • Member access for participating churches.

Church profiles are being added as the network begins.

What's new.

A few notes as the network and platform begin to take shape.
Saltbox is beginning.
We are opening the first version of the Saltbox site so invited churches can explore the vision, request access, and begin shaping the network together.
Church profiles are opening.
Participating churches will be able to create public profiles, share basic information, and become visible in the network directory.
Member conversation is coming online.
The first member tools will focus on communication, events, and shared worship material so churches have a practical place to connect between gatherings.

If this sounds like the kind of connection your church has been longing for, start here.

Requesting access is not a commitment to everything Saltbox may become. It is the beginning of a conversation about whether this network can serve your church and help strengthen relationships that already matter.
